Farmers and agroecology – Travel diaries from North Africa

Farmers and agroecology – Travel diaries from North Africa

As part of the NATAE project (Agroecological Transition in North Africa), CARI coordinated the publication Farmers and agroecology – Travelogues from North Africa, produced by Valérie Noel (author) and Martin Demay (photographer).

This book, combining stories and photographs, sets out to meet those who practise sustainable agriculture in North Africa.

From the outskirts of Nouakchott in Mauritania to the oases of Algeria, via the Moroccan Atlas Mountains and the grain-growing plains of Tunisia, he guides readers through the landscapes, farming systems and daily lives of North African farmers, whilst highlighting agroecology as a relevant response to today’s agricultural challenges.

Aimed at both agroecology professionals and the general public, the book is available in full by clicking here (in French only)
