FAIR agroecology for more resilient agriculture in the Sahel

Overall objective

The overall aim of the FAIR Sahel project is to create the conditions for the agro-ecological intensification of small-scale producers in the Sahel in order to improve their resilience to climate change.

Specific intervention area

Mali: Cercles of Ségou, Sikasso and Koulikoro.

Burkina Faso: Centre-Nord, Hauts-Bassin and Plateau Central regions.

Senegal: Departments of Tambacounda, Fatick and Niayes Territory.

Project objectives
  • Identify innovative production systems and collective development dynamics.
  • Design with producers innovative and efficient production systems.
  • Create favorable conditions for agroecological intensification by considering necessary institutional dynamics.
  • Capitalize, communicate and disseminate knowledge from the project and other stakeholders about agroecological intensification.
